PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS & SIZING YOUR PET

Sizing and fitting your pet for Geopetric gear can be a bit tricky! Just like hoomans come in all shapes and sizes, so do fur babes! Please DO NOT select a size for your pet based on your pet's breed or weight. ALWAYS measure your pet in inches.

To help you best measure your pet to ensure a proper fit, please use our guide:

PERSONALIZED & STANDARD COLLARS: Measure your pet in inches using a soft cloth tape measure or string (which can be laid against a straight ruler to determine the measurement) to determine the circumference of your pet's neck. Measure at the widest part of your pet's neck. Collar measurements are based on circumference when the collar is clipped closed. If you are in between sizes (within 1/2 inch) or somewhat uncertain if you measured well, we generally recommend selecting the larger size.

NOTE: Personalized and Standard collars are recommended for fashion and identification purposes. Geopetric does not recommend these collars be used for walks for most pets and advises always including a tag with your phone number on it with a collar selection.

MARTINGALE COLLARSMeasure your pet in inches using a soft cloth tape measure or string (which can be laid against a straight ruler to determine the measurement) to determine the circumference of your pet's neck & head. The most important measurement is the largest part of your pet's head. The collar must be able to fit over your pet's head. The collar will then tighten when you pet pulls and immediately rebound to a looser (but the collar should not have more than two fingers width when loose) more comfortable fit when your pet stops pulling.

NOTE: Martingale collars are walking & training collars. The purpose of a Martingale is to assist your pet in learning how to not pull on walks or to assist with certain breeds that have tendency to slip out of a collar/harness on walks. Additionally certain breeds have health proclivities that may benefit from a Martingale collar. Please consult your vet if you have questions regarding this.

HARNESSES: Measure your pet in inches using a soft cloth tape measure or string (which can be laid against a straight ruler to determine the measurement) to determine the circumference of your pet's neck & torso. Measure at the widest points. The most important measurement is across the broadest part of your pet's body (usually the torso behind the front legs around their ribs to the top of their shoulders). The harness must be able to fit snugly (but not too tight) behind your pet's front legs and around your pet's ribs to front shoulders and clip closed on their back. If the torso measurement you are obtaining is smaller than the size of the harness you select, the harness usually will not fit. Please keep this in mind when making your size selection.

NOTE: Harness' are meant to fit as pictured. However some pets may find comfort with their harness being flipped around with the clips reversed from as shown. The product will function the same way.
